While her father wants the documents, her sister wants the money and they will each stop at nothing, even murder, to get what they want.

Mohan (Amitabh Bachchan) and Asha (Mala Sinha) are in love with each other, and eventually marry each other in a private temple. Circumstances separate the couple, and Mohan marries Seema (Aruna Irani) and has two children. Mohan is employed with the local municipality. After 10 years, there is a new Collector coming to town, and that person is Asha, who will take over this position, and will be Mohan's boss. After her arrival, rumours start to circulate about Mohan and Asha. Seema, at first disregards these rumours, but then comes across a photograph of Mohan and Asha together exchanging garlands and getting married. Seema wants a decision and must confront Mohan and Asha both to find out what the real truth is. Can Seema handle the truth?
Jeong-suk works as a dancer to put her two younger brothers through college. She meets Yeong-sik, a lecturer at the college her brother attends, and falls in love with him. She lies to her mother-in-law that she is an elementary school teacher and marries Yeong-sik. Her past is revealed and Jeong-suk is kicked out of the house.
