A criminal gang plots the robbery of a ship carrying $2 million worth of surplus narcotics left over from World War II. The plan goes awry when the gang leader's girlfriend falls for an ambulance attendant who is an unsuspecting pawn in the scheme.
"Let's All Go to the Lobby" is a 1953[1][2] animated musical snipe played as an advertisement before the beginning of the main film. It featured a family of four talking concession stand products, singing "Let's all go to the lobby to get ourselves a treat" and walking to the concession stand.
John Gaminsky finds a wallet containing a lot of money. He sees an ad in the paper asking for its return. His wife tells him to give the wallet back, but John lies to her and tells her he already did so. When she sees the ad again, she realizes he kept the cash for himself. She gives him a choice: either let her shop at an expensive store or she'll call the police. John opts for the former. When she goes on a buying spree, however, he realizes there is not enough to share. His wife comes to the same conclusion.

A newly married young woman is possessed by the evil spirt of her husband's deceased first wife. The possession turns her into a scheming killer who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.
Baptiste Lachaud, known affectionately as Tistin, is the only man in the village of Clochemerle not to have a job. With the help of the local mayor, he gets himself registered as unemployed, so that not only can he carry on doing nothing but he will also be paid for doing so. Understandably, the villagers do not take kindly to this development, and are even more outraged when Tistin uses his easily earned money to get drunk in the company of Zozotte, a woman of bad reputation. To redeem himself, Tistin begins to undertake odd jobs for his neighbours, particularly, Jeannette, a young widow who soon develops a fondness for him. But then some money goes missing from the church and Tistin is the obvious culprit, since he has just deposited a large sum of money into a new bank account...
