He is constantly on the move, aware that he is being monitored by the Savak, the Shah's secret police. Eventually he is captured and tortured in prison. to extract inform- ation about his organisation. Meanwhile his comrades try to coerce him into dying for the cause. Valeh simply wants to live and be re-united with his wife and new baby. The director based the film on his own experiences as a leftist Islamic radical who became disillusioned with political activism and extremism of any kind. On the day of fishing, inside and outside the prefecture, a drunken man is killed and killed. She demanded a house without any demand, and the inside and outside of the present day temporarily come into her house, but her wife, MiYoung, dislikes her. While she was suffering from nervous breakdown, Mi-young met Jean who lived around Susan's house and found out that she was a hostess, but Jean was rather trying to rape her. Hong Kong Butcher tells the story of a looney, sexually inadequate cab driver who takes out his frustrations on hapless women by cutting them up and preserving their genitals a la Ed Gein. Director Jeffrey Lau, credited here as China Chung, begins the film with a 'documentary' segment focusing on the insane folks who inhabit the streets of Hong Kong. Our antagonist fits nicely among them, because he is shamelessly crazy. Any chance he may have at a semi-normal relationship with one girl he meets is dashed when he takes her on a metal-crunching daredevil car ride after first meeting her, then goofily harasses her at her apartment door the following day when she refuses to let him in. At night the guy cruises the streets of Hong Kong in his cab, grabbing a woman now and again to knock unconcious and carry to his apartment where he hacks them up, then has sex with them. He displays his victim's parts in plastic cases, and prances around his apartment in ecstasy looking at them. He shoots pictures of it all and casually takes the photos to be developed at the corner store. An old antique ring turns a college professor into a homicidal maniac when he puts it on. The ring originaly belonged to Jack the Ripper... Maureen's biological clock is ticking, and she wants a baby. Her husband George is unable to oblige. When Maureen bumps into Geoff, a former lover from years ago she decides he might be able to supply the wanted seed. But the scientific controls on their weekend encounter soon give way to natural urges and the consummation is concluded with tenderness.
