Mun-ho and Yeon-ji's finances are shaken when their publishing business fails. Dong-wu asks Yeon-ji for a large sum of money. One day, Yeon-ji lures Dong-wu out into the woods where she stabs him. Having witnessed this, Mun-ho forgives Yeon-ji of her past and they share a long embrace in the rain.
