When a poor farmer takes his ill wife to the city for medical help their lives are forever changed when the British use him to steal the Sacred Scriptures from the Dalai Lama's Potala Palace in Tibet. P is locked up with his 2 homeboys for multiple years, once they all get out after at least putting in 10 years, they get into the free world only to find out it's not that easy to make it on the straight path especially with murder on your record. So P, thought his brothers, Carlito and Tony are trying to help, he's never been one for handouts and so talks to his old prison, homey to get them linked into the cartels. So they meet Rico, the coldest bloodest guy to walk the earth and hell. He takes them in under his wing and gets them to start with dope and people, but a setup makes P realize that almost being killed over little money's not worth it so is put on for something more worthwhile, murder for hire. In a web of trickery and deceit, P has to find a way to keep his family out of the mix, while still trying to find out who his real friends and enemies are. In this world, you keep your friends close and enemies only closer if they're dead, and P sure doesn't wanna make the wrong ...
After many anxious years Hermoni, mother of Mukti who had left home to join an extremist outfit is handed a mutilated bullet ridden body purportedly that of her son. The formal last rites are performed. Then comes the news that the body may not be Mukti's. Thus begins another long wait as Hermoni rekindles her hope that her son will return home in person. In company with Hermoni is Sewali, Mukti's childhood companion with whom he had sought to share his life. She is a woman now. Her love for Muki is unflinching. She is waiting. And, there is Biplob. He had returned from the outfit to lead a normal life. His past prevents the return of normalcy. The trio go on living. Nourishing in a hidden corner of their hearts that their hopes and dreams will indeed be fulfilled some day.
This film is a poignant social drama based on true life events at the turn of the century which helped shape history to make the Ireland we know today.
