At the end of WWII, Hanako, a Japanese woman, becomes separated from her daughter while going from Manchuria to Japan. She adopts a boy that she finds wandering on the streets of Seoul. Twenty years later, she learns that her daughter is alive and was raised by the parents of her adopted son Young engineer on holiday gets involved with a boy having a strange relationship with the wind.
