Ricco (Christopher Mitchum) is out to get his revenge on the crime lord that killed his father with the help of the very sexy Rosa (Melisa Longo). He takes each of Vito's (Arthur Kennedy) men down one by one, bringing him closer and closer to his prize. After she crossed the border to the South alone during Korean War, Seon-Hee voluntarily takes a part in a service for an orphanage. She faces various difficulties while she takes care of orphans. However she endures all the hardships with belief and home for bringing up orphans. Two troublemakers Jae and Kwang become college students thanks to her efforts. As Kwang loses his eyesight during students activities against the government in 1960, Seon-Hee gives him one of her eyes. When Seon-Hee goes to prison instead of her adopted daughter Suk who incidentally committed a crime, the orphans who grew up as good civilians appeal to the court for her innocence. In the end Seon-Hee comes back to them and dies. In the wake of a Supreme Court decision to outlaw the death penalty, California passes an initiative that designates San Bruno island as a dumping spot for first-degree murder convicts, free to do what they like except leave. The main camp of convicts is controlled by the tyrannical Bobby, who rules with an iron hand, and the women are used as sex slaves. A.J. and a group of more free-minded murderers have escaped and gone into hiding. When A.J. and his men liberate the women from Bobby's custody, tensions mount to an all-out confrontation for control of the island.
