When Quirt urgently insists upon sending a telegram, Thomas and his daughter Penelope (Gail Russell) drive him into town in their wagon. After wiring a claim to the land recorder's office, Quirt kisses Penny and then passes out. Ignoring the doctor's advice to rid themselves of the gunman, the compassionate Worth family tends to the delirious Quirt, and Penny becomes intrigued by his ravings of past loves. Song of Love (1947) is a biopic starring Katharine Hepburn, Paul Henreid, Robert Walker, and Leo G. Carroll, directed by Clarence Brown and released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Susanne Wallner returns to the ruins of Berlin from a Concentration Camp after WW2 to discover that someone else lives in her apartment: Dr. Hans Mertens, the war made him depressive and he drinks a lot of alcohol. Susanne asks him to go but he doesn't want to, so they share Susanne's apartment and even discover their sympathy and then their love for each other. That encourages him a little, of course. But then he hears that Ferdinand Brückner is still alive and also lives in Berlin. Brückner was his Captain during WW2, he gave the order to kill more than 100 innocent people, many children and women among them, on Christmas 1942 in Poland. Bang Han-whan (Nam Hong-il), who comes from a fishing village, goes to Seoul, Korea with great ambition to be successful. But he wastes his time and money on a geisha, San-hong (Han Eun-jin). One day he receives a telegram that his father is severely ill, goes back to his hometown, regrets what he has done in Seoul, and returns to the life as a sincere fisherman. One day San-hong visits him and he honestly tells her what he has on his mind. She listens to him wholeheartedly, goes back to Seoul and becomes a factory worker. When Hong-il's fishing farm faces financial difficulties, San-hong finds out about it, and sends him the money she had earned up until then. The door of happiness opens for them.
