At first glance, our two stars of Born Winner, Pericles (Joe Dallesandro) and Sandro (Massimo Ranieri) do not appear to be Born Winners at all. Sandro, played by the charmingly handsome Ranieri, is unceremoniously dismissed from his job after a party he is catering for is robbed at gunpoint. Shortly after, he fails in his attempts to find a new job. Fate, or what you will, allows a piece of paper with Sandro's address to fall into Pericles' hands. Pericles is the man who committed the robbery at Sandro's last catering job, causing Sandro's dismissal. Soon, our Pericles, who is the gorgeous Joe Dallesandro incarnate, is living with the newly directionless Sandro; Pericles soon takes Sandro through the fast, thrilling, dangerous, and fleeting, swiftly fleeting, curves of life. As Pericles tries to help Sandro earn a living as a petty thief, Sandro tries to help Pericles learn to love life again. Joe Dallesandro is remarkable as an ex-championship motorcyclist whose career prematurely ended after a nasty accident. The fates of Pericles and Sandro leave an indelible mark upon the viewers; as the other poster commented, the curves are muddled, but they are muddled with good cause.
An investigative reporter works to solve the mystery of a haunted house constructed from rooms of the deceased.
Although they are only janitors at a detective agency, the boys pass themselves off as sleuths and are engaged to guard an inventor delivering a new bomb. They outwit enemy agents after the bomb and wind up sinking a Japanese submarine.

Tony Lo Bianco (G. Tinti) an American cop transferred to Italy, becomes Maurice's right-hand man. Maurice is a famous "camorra " boss. He is planning an assault to a post office near Naples. During the robbery, another boss called "the panther" shots over Maurice's band wounding Lo Bianco. Fortunately Lo Bianco does not die and he starts to investigating about Maurice's past. He finds out that the boss is protected by the Italian Secret Service because he has some important documents regarding drug traffics where Italian minister are involved. Lo Bianco finds the documents and he is ready to give it to a magistrate but he is killed before leaving Italy. This is the worst Italian crime film that I have seen. Acting is poor and actors too. The careful viewer will notice that sometimes the actors look at the camera during their dialogues. Even if the film has been shot in Italian the dubbing is simply shoddy, with false Neapolitan accent. The action is slow and boring.
Hildegard Knef gives us one of the best interpretations for the Empress of Russia. But Elisabeth Bergner with Douglas Fairbanks Jr. in "Catherine the Great (1935)" and Louise Dresser with Rudolph Valentino (!) as The Black Eagle in "The Eagle (1925)" are good as well. Sergio Fantoni is not a super-star as Fairbanks or Valentino but he is a good cast as Orloff. The ball-room scenes, the costumes and the uniforms are good (Walter Patriarca was the costume-designer). Umberto Lenzi, the director, and the script-writer Malatesta deliver us a fine historical movie with passion and adventure.
This is 1971. A gang of robbers takes possession of a load of diamonds.. Only one of them, Mark Lemmon, is arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment. But before being captured, the gangster had managed to hide the loot in a sewer. Five years later, Mackenzie, an insurer, pretending to be a mafia boss, assigns three petty criminals to arrange his escape. Once free, Lemmon finds the booty but now he has to deal with his new 'partners'.
