A supermarket manageress from Ahlbeck on the island of Usedom is found dead in the neighboring Polish resort of Swinemünde. Inspector Julia Thiel and her Polish colleague Marek investigate. The dead woman was planning to meet one of her employees to discuss a mysterious property swap. The case is a challenge for Julia Thiel, because her mother of all people is a "legal adviser" to the main suspect. To cap it all, her adolescent daughter is proving difficult, having found out she's having an affair with her Polish colleague.

The family's long awaited vacation at the Wadden Sea is threatened by the fact that Father is suspected of being a burglar. The family does everything to prove his innocence - but Father's unfortunate actions make him look more and more suspicious in the eyes of the rooms. Finally, Little Per must do something illegal to find the right thieves. But it is about to go wrong and suddenly the whole island is convinced that Father is guilty and that the family must be away from the island. The story revolves around Bottle Mani (Sharan), a lame duck, who takes a supari to kill Neelakanta Raju (Ramakrishna), an elderly person from a royal family. He's been assigned the job by none other than the old man's three sons-in-law, who want to grab his property. Mani is assisted by his uncle (Tabla Nani) but he faces a lot of problems in the palace as the family is huge. He misses a couple of chances to kill Raju. There's a twist in the tale when the real Bottle Mani (Ravishankar) walks out of jail only to find that a fraud has usurped his identity and entered the palace. Henceforth, it's only chaos that reigns supreme.
