After finishing her studies in literature, Claudia works as a cashier at the supermarket. She is a happy girl who counts her co-workers among her best friends. The only sore spot has been her love life, but now that her secret high school crush Martin has returned, Claudia’s hopes are ignited. Somewhere in the Sumatran jungle, a British anthropologist discovers a magical plant that may hold the secret to eternal youth. However, before he can disclose its whereabouts, he is killed by a mysterious Danish national: Severin Gertsen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Soon Severin is captured and young criminal psychologist Adrian (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) travels from Denmark to interview him, attempting to establish an insanity defence.
