Varala Babu (Aadi) is not good at studies and that is why his father (Tanikella Bharani) scolds him all the time. Their neighbor's son is well educated and well behaved. Everyone tells Babu to become like him and that irritates him a lot. One day he left the house because of the constant humiliation and challenges his father that he will prove himself.He leaves to Hyderabad to be successful but ends up falling in love with beautiful Muslim girl Sameera (Adah Sharma). They ultimately fall in love. But Sameera herself was facing some trouble from some evil guys. Then Babu explains why he really came to the city to her. Coincidentally in both cases the evil mastermind is the same and Babu ultimately takes revenge on behalf of his friend and lover.
The film is based on the real life murder mystery of Sheena Bora. Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhry makes her debut in Bengali film as Ishani Banerjee, a character based on Sheena's mother and alleged murderer Indrani Mukherjea. Riya Sen will play the part of Rina Bardhan, inspired by Sheena Bora. Media baron Peter Mukherjea, Sheena's stepfather, will be portrayed by Sudeep Mukherjee.

After many anxious years Hermoni, mother of Mukti who had left home to join an extremist outfit is handed a mutilated bullet ridden body purportedly that of her son. The formal last rites are performed. Then comes the news that the body may not be Mukti's. Thus begins another long wait as Hermoni rekindles her hope that her son will return home in person. In company with Hermoni is Sewali, Mukti's childhood companion with whom he had sought to share his life. She is a woman now. Her love for Muki is unflinching. She is waiting. And, there is Biplob.
