The show starts with an episode of 'Starkers and Krutch'. Eric is not happy with the opening set as his name is misspelt. Elton has a lot of trouble getting directions to the correct studio. Angharad Rees is introduced as she is to star in a scene set in a country cottage, which ends with a duo by Angharad and Ernie singing "Baby, It's Cold Outside". Angela Rippon is in a chorus line of dancers. Eric and Ernie reminisce as they move home to a new place. Eric and Ernie perform "There is Nothing Like a Dame" backed by a chorus. Ernie's play is called 'Cyrano de Bergerac' and stars Francis Matthews as Count de Basie and Penelope Keith as Roxanne. Eric, Ernie and Penelope conclude by singing "Darn It, Baby, That's Love". Elton John concludes the show singing "Shine On Through".

Set in the present times against two backdrops. New Delhi with its shining buildings and apparent cosmopolitan veneer, thinly veils an underbelly of crimes against women and corruption at all levels. And a small village just 80 kilometers from New Delhi that is stuck in a time warp. Kajarya a woman in her early thirties has a strange but important place in the village social structure; she murders unwanted girl infants in the garb of religion. Meera is a rookie reporter. She breezes into the village and the villagers feed her the story of Kajarya being a demonic baby killer. The story is juicy and one sided. Meera gets the front page of the newspaper. Kajarya goes to jail.
A senior commissioner, head of the Crime Suppression Brigade, is arrested and detained by the police for four days after 25 years of impeccable professional careers. He is then put under investigation and placed under strict judicial control for criminal conspiracy, drug trafficking, theft and seizure by the investigating judge in charge of the case.
