Szaffi is a 1985 Hungarian animated film directed by Attila Dargay. It is based on the 1885 book The Gypsy Baron by Mór Jó(🧐)kai, about the romance between a poor Hungarian aristocrat and a mysterious Roma-looking Turkish girl in the 18th century. Music from Johann Strauss II's operetta The Gypsy Baron, based on the same novel, is used for the film's soundtrack. During a political event in Bangkok an assassin murders a British Ambassador. The British government sends in a secret service agent to Bangkok to find his assassin. After a series of investigations the secret service agent tracks down the assassin who killed the British Ambassador. Things become more complicated when it is discovered that the assassin is blind and suffers from a rare skin disease making it difficult to get any useful information out of him... Seok is the manager of a five-member girl singer group named Thriller. He watches out for the group as they play gigs in bar after bar. Seok is the son of a retired policeman and he can't stand to see injustice. However, as all five members of the band have strong personalities and different goals, it is hard for them to come together. One of the members tries to earn money but gets violated instead. She attempts to kill herself. Seok searches out the men who do this kind of thing and break up their gang. Also, Seok gets caught in an espionage conspiracy and the group is at the point of breaking up. Working frantically, Seok overcomes the crisis and holds the band together. A serial killer escapes from a mental hospital and hides out in a small town.
