A duchess lands him a job as a gardener in the palatial spread of one of the ministers of Adolfo Suarez (Prime Minister in Spain at this time). The wife of the minister (impotent himself) seduces the mindless gardener, and apparently finds something lacking because then she goes after the minister's secretary. Unbeknownest to her, the gardener has just converted her into a budding mother. Meanwhile, terrorists decide to kidnap the gardener as a kind of bait (or practice run) for kidnapping the minister. Although it is not revealed until later, the secretary is in league with the terrorists, but then so is the minister. The whole lot of them, in fact, is really controlled by an international ring of corporate types promoting the use of nuclear energy. In brief, an impotent, secretly terrorist minister with a pregnant wife, stupid yet randy gardener, and lesbian, terrorist secretary is running part of the Spanish government, apparently about to be taken over by nuclear energy. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi BC A Special Christmas: Peter enlists his sarcastic one-legged friend Wiley to help conjure a myth based around the idea of giving. Seeing the chance to make a profit off the selflessness of others, the two caveman create a figure that develops into the first Santa Claus but are then baffled when the "myth" they've created apparently becomes real. Substituting gain for fulfillment, Peter and Wiley experience the true meaning of Christmas. The stage comedian Carlo Verdone directed and stars as the three main characters -- Furio, Mimmo, and Pasquale -- in this classic Italian comedy. All three men are driving back to their hometowns to vote on election day, and each has a different story and a different though easily recognizable personality type. The movie follows by a year Un Sacco bello (1980). Both the movies are just a kind of "collage" of all Verdone characters played during his TV shows in the '70s. Nevertheless clearly we are in front of his first steps as film director, Carlo demonstrated already his big talent to underline trough his comedies the Italians and their defects. For anyone interested in Verdone cinema this is a must. For everyone happy to see a fine comedy about Italians this is a must. To have funny time in the Verdone's way this is a must. When the new Spanish Governor begins to grind the peasants under his heel, wealthy landowner Don Diego Vega (George Hamilton) follows in his late father's footsteps and becomes Zorro, the masked man in black with a sword who rights wrongs and becomes a folk hero to the people of Mexico. Bunny Wigglesworth, appears for a visit. 'Bunny' agrees to temporarily take his brother's place as Zorro, but wishes to make some changes. Bunny becomes 'the Gay Blade' in which his new suits are lemon, plum, and scarlet colored, and Bunny insists on using a whip. Bunny also becomes the liaison between Don Vega and the liberal American activist/feminist Charlotte (Lauren Hutton) a long-time critic of Captain Esteban's policies, and who has a crush on her masked hero.
