God and Satan are on a train discussing the fate of three individuals. The stories of the people in question are told in a trio of very strange vignettes. One involves an insane anylum with some very interesting treatment plans. Another involves a 'death club'. The final story shows us the adventures of a server of Satan. Director Jeffrey Lau, credited here as China Chung, begins the film with a 'documentary' segment focusing on the insane folks who inhabit the streets of Hong Kong. Our antagonist fits nicely among them, because he is shamelessly crazy. Any chance he may have at a semi-normal relationship with one girl he meets is dashed when he takes her on a metal-crunching daredevil car ride after first meeting her, then goofily harasses her at her apartment door the following day when she refuses to let him in. At night the guy cruises the streets of Hong Kong in his cab, grabbing a woman now and again to knock unconcious and carry to his apartment where he hacks them up, then has sex with them. He displays his victim's parts in plastic cases, and prances around his apartment in ecstasy looking at them. He shoots pictures of it all and casually takes the photos to be developed at the corner store. 前(qiá(🌀)n )苏联的芭蕾舞(🛄)者(zhě(💂) )搭上一驾被劫(🍷)往苏联的飞机，飞(fēi )机(🏳)(jī )落地后，他被(👗)(bèi )软(⛅)(ruǎn )禁在一栋公(👯)寓(yù )之(zhī )中，公寓里(📉)住(🌷)着一位黑人和他的(📿)(de )俄籍妻子，他被(💩)(bèi )迫(pò )再(zài )次担任(🃏)波(🥁)修(xiū )瓦(wǎ )芭蕾舞团(😊)的(🐢)舞者(zhě )，他一(🐤)心只想逃(táo )…… On the tropical island of Manioca, during a MardiGras-like festival, the child of the former president is kidnapped by the thugs of a communistic dictator. A large corporation in Miami finances an expedition to recover the child, and thus hopes to put the democratic nominee back in power. To this end, they send four mercenaries into the jungle, all of whom are masters of warfare. However, while the four mercenaries are fighting their way through the green inferno, new developments are occurring back in Miami. It seems that the corporation has changed its stance, and is now trying to work out a deal with the communistic dictator. This is sadly one of Umberto Lenzi's most neglected films--and for no good reason at all. Perhaps the lack of distribution has contributed to the obscurity of this gem; but, for all serious fans, it remains to be rediscovered. This film is not remarkable insofar as it is extraordinary, but that it so keenly represents the ending of an era. Never again will we see the likes of Antonio Sabato, Ivan Rassimov, Werner Pochath, and Franco Fantasia, all teaming up together in one great film such as this. Besides being well-directed, this movie is augmented by a very nice soundtrack by Stelvio Cipriani, as well as a surpise appearance by Andrea Aureli. Of course, it has its drawbacks as well. For instance, Ivan Rassimov's character is killed off much too soon (the same fate he suffered in Ruggero Deodato's "Atlantis Interceptors"). However, this movie contains some genuinely wonderful scenes that recall all the glory of Lenzi's earlier films. Highly recommended!
