Dance is also used in the narrative setting in metaphorical and dream sequences, like poetic suspensions of time. John Caster and his two partners are caught in the middle of a family rivalry between a crime lord they were sent to take down and a police commissioner they were hired by. Told from the view of musician Nico, "Nesseltal' tells the story of a friend's 30th birthday weekend in a secluded mountain lodge in the alps. After the group falls out over an alcohol-fuelled argument, the story takes a turn for the worse. Not only has Nico disappeared but the group also find themselves confronted by a much more terrible secret that their unfortunate weekend destination holds.
