Agnes (Brigitte Bardot) is the nun who follows the order to the beach for a swim in the ocean. They shed their habits to reveal bathing suits worn underneath the robes. After swimming away from the group, Agnes is fortunate enough to find some perfectly fitting mod garb complete with accessories. A motor bike is also conveniently left for her to use, and she takes off on an adventurous romp. After wrecking the bike, she is taken into custody by the police and meets Lisa (Annie Girardot), a fun-loving hooker. Agnes tries to live the life of a prostitute but fails to make the erotic connection. After Lisa saves the nun from a group of drunken American sailors, Agnes takes a job riding in an ambulance, and Lisa uses the vehicle for a bordello on wheels. Eventually, a doctor (Jacques Duby) recognizes Agnes as a nun when she comes to him as a potential sex customer. Ochiai is a police officer who once was a student activist. When they meet, they are surprised how identical they look. They decide to trade places with each other. A man tries to arrange his daughters' marriage, but all attempts at matchmaking fail. The daughters actually already have boyfriends but, realizing that their father does not approve of young people choosing their own partners, keep their lovers secret. One night on a deserted street, Pierre (Olivier Martin of Rollin's LA VIOL DU VAMPIRE) runs into a scantily clad mute young woman (Caroline Cartier) who is being pursued by men in tuxedos and bizarre animal masks who kidnap her and take her back to a townhouse that belongs to Pierre's father, industrialist Georges Radamante (Maurice Lemaître) who warns Pierre to mind his own business. Pierre sneaks into the townhouse for one of his father's parties and witnesses a woman playing Russian Roulette shoot herself and the mute young woman drinks her blood. Pierre delves deeper into the mystery and has to fight off his own father's thugs while Georges and his associates squirrel the young woman off to an isolated country house. Waiting for them at "The Last Great Festival" were over 600,000 fans who had already torn down the barriers, crashed the gates, and enjoyed performances by the world's top acts such as Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Miles Davis and Joni Mitchell. The Doors took the stage at 2 am, playing with the weight of the trial on their backs, and showed fans they still had the magic that had propelled them to the top during the Summer of Love. "We played with a controlled fury and Jim was in fine vocal form," said Doors organist Ray Manzarek. "He sang for all he was worth, but moved nary a muscle. Dionysus had been shackled."
