Somewhere in the Sumatran jungle, a British anthropologist discovers a magical plant that may hold the secret to eternal youth. However, before he can disclose its whereabouts, he is killed by a mysterious Danish national: Severin Gertsen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Soon Severin is captured and young criminal psychologist Adrian (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) travels from Denmark to interview him, attempting to establish an insanity defence.
