Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais' adaptation of the novel by Jonathan Coe about three friends growing up in Birmingham in the 1970s. A self-absorbed young woman finds herself moving from Los Angeles back to Brooklyn to care for her ailing parents. The Karate Dog is a 2004 made for TV movie starring Chevy Chase, Simon Rex, Jon Voight, and Jaime Pressly. Nicollette Sheridan and Pat Morita also make appearances.
