Based on a manga by Kurashina Ryo, the Love Master series presents the adventures, erotic and otherwise, of the title hero, Kagurazaka Kikunosuke (Nakakura Kentaro). Raised in Tokyo’s Kagurazaka geisha district by the owner of a teahouse catering to geisha and their clients, Kikunosuke looks like a throwback to another era, with his hair in a topknot and wearing traditional Japanese clothes.

Out on a family excursion, accompanied by Joyce, daughter Cully and Joyce's mother who is visiting, the Chief Inspector soon finds himself investigating the murder of Mildred Danvers, whose flask of brandy was apparently spiked with barbiturates.
