Somewhere in the Sumatran jungle, a British anthropologist discovers a magical plant that may hold the secret to eternal youth. However, before he can disclose its whereabouts, he is killed by a mysterious Danish national: Severin Gertsen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). Soon Severin is captured and young criminal psychologist Adrian (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) travels from Denmark to interview him, attempting to establish an insanity defence. When Severin takes Adrian hostage and escapes into the jungle, he sets off a massive man hunt as they as they are pursued by the police, the Indonesian army and a criminal gang – all of whom want to find out about the mysterious nature of the plant.
