Accompanied by a thirty-man inspection team, he demands that the Air Police take him directly to the wing's command post and once there announces a no-notice Operational Readiness Inspection (ORI). As the inspection continues, General Kirby receives a score report from a member of his team. With this in hand, he calls General Hewitt, the commanding general of SAC at his Omaha headquarters and soberly informs him, "It doesn't look too good so far, sir." When Miss Marple and Mr. Stringer are soliciting for their charity that benefits paroled convicts, they call on the home of wealthy Mr. Enderby. They are shocked to witness his heart failure culminating in his fall down the stairs to his death. Miss Marple suspects that someone "frightened him to death" intentionally by a cat, but she cannot interest Inspector Craddock in her theory. She correctly surmises that one of Enderby's four heirs is guilty of his murder, and her theory is confirmed when two of them end up murdered. John is a shipmaster on a very small transportation boat which regularly attends a very small harbour to buy food, actually from Anna's father. She is a waitress and has a young daughter. She tells John that her name is Anita. They have met many times, but their first personal meeting is when both are swimming in early morning. John is asked to have morning coffee with Anna's family. He invites her and her child to a trip to Zoo in Copenhagen. Both have genuine feelings for each other. There are lovely three-some scenes when John is proud of "being" a father, and beautiful love scenes. Christina Schollin's naked body is cute but never obtrusive. But at that time girls were depreciated if they "gave in" too soon. So these scenes repeatedly alternate with hot misunderstandings, well-known exactly when two people with genuine feelings fear misunderstandings and try to preclude them.
