一个极度心不在(⛵)焉的(👺)广告(gào )人的荒诞(💲)故(gù )事。。。 磨(mó )坊电影系列(liè ) Berri enjoys telling his stories so much that you feel embarrassed to point out that the material often is pretty thin. This tale of a young Jewish man trying to find his way in Paris in the 60's (will he follow his father into the fur business, or go into films?) is told with such brio, and the actors are encouraged to make the best of their gifts. Gregoire Aslan, for instance, is very funny here (and in Mazel Tov also), much more than in the routine comedies he cranked out for Hollywood. Berri plays himself with his usual hang-dog charm. After returning home from the funeral of their youngest daughter, who was brutally raped and murdered, a family tries desperately to put the tragedy behind them. After discovering that the man suspected of the crime has been released by police due to lack of evidence, and with the help of a friend whose daughter was also killed by the suspect, a plan is hatched to "teach the guy a lesson". Unfortunately the plan is ill conceived and hastily executed with unexpected and disasterous results for all concerned. One night on a deserted street, Pierre (Olivier Martin of Rollin's LA VIOL DU VAMPIRE) runs into a scantily clad mute young woman (Caroline Cartier) who is being pursued by men in tuxedos and bizarre animal masks who kidnap her and take her back to a townhouse that belongs to Pierre's father, industrialist Georges Radamante (Maurice Lemaî(😑)tre) who warns Pierre to mind his own business. Pierre sneaks into the townhouse for one of his father's parties and witnesses a woman playing Russian Roulette shoot herself and the mute young woman drinks her blood. Pierre delves deeper into the mystery and has to fight off his own father's thugs while Georges and his associates squirrel the young woman off to an isolated country house.
