A lonely cemetery worker named Ralph accidentally brings a beautiful young woman back from the dead by reading a resurrection prayer over her grave. With just three days before she returns to the afterlife forever, Ralph must help her live her remaining hours to the fullest while also coming to terms with his own aimless life and with the impending death of his father. A blind girl mutters „I don’t believe in love because I’ve never seen it” to a faceless interviewer. His arrival opens old wounds and fuels conflicts within the family and in the hostile village. Stifled emotions and an oppressive image of a fragmenting society highlight themes of ineffectual communication and xenophobia. The heightening animosity visually and emotively underlines the threat of destruction from nature itself, which could, at any moment, strike at the very foundations of the family home.
