A beautiful young woman travels to a remote estate to seek employment as a biochemist for Baron Janos Dalmar. She finds herself attracted to him, so immerses herself in her work to suppress her lusty desires. A rash of rather brutal murders occurs in the area and she soon discovers that the Baron is not what he seems. Not long thereafter, the Baron transforms into a demon, and the beautiful young woman becomes his very own love slave.
Comedy in two segments. In "Roy, o Gargalhador Profissional" ("Roy, the Professional Cackler"), a man gets a job as member of a claque, in a TV Show. In "O Ibrahim do Subúrbio" ("The Ibrahim from the Suburb"), a poor Brazilian tailor dreams of taking part in the high life. His greatest wish is to have his name mentioned on a social column written by journalist Ibrahim Sued. When his daughter marries, he throws a luxury party, spending all his money, hoping it'll be mentioned by his idol.

The bitter Jake is a self-professed 'artist and filmmaker' who can't quite keep life together in the face of other people's success. Jake's life changes when small-time thief Jojo breaks into Jake's car and steals his briefcase containing a book on screen-writing and Jake's filofax of 'contacts'. Jojo's new script ensures he quickly becomes the talk of the town. Jake, meanwhile, decides to 'drop out of society' and takes a road trip to Brighton in search of some answers.
