THE FORMING is a film that looks at how fear forms within us. We focus on a man who is attacked by a dog as he runs in the park. After that, he finds himself dealing with some very strange occurrences in his home. Everything that follows seems to relate back to the fear he experienced during the dog attack. As he is forced to confront these odd goings on we see him descend deeper and deeper into his own maddening psychosis. Or, is he? In the end he and everyone else around him will see what happens when one lets fear take over their lives.
Liu Shidong is a young man set adrift after his father's death. He meets Wang Yuzi, a melancholy and introverted girl who pursues him, but he spurns her. Soon, he meets a bright and extroverted girl named Yao Ye; they live together for a month, then go their separate ways. Having known love, Liu Shidong goes into business and tries to make his way in the adult world. By the time he meets up with Yuzi again, time and experience have altered their feelings and Shidong has learned a new way to deal with life.

When Troy Holloway wakes up to find himself trapped aboard a drifting escape pod shooting towards the Sun he quickly realises the true terror of his situation.
