Pann is in shock and consumed by sadness after her mother comes to visit her and is suddenly killed in an accident at a shopping mall. Her older sister Pinn, who is working in Singapore, hears the news later and returns to Bangkok. The two sisters then head home with their mother’s body in an ambulance. A small group of friends are gathered at Katinka's summer house to celebrate her birthday. The guests are all in their thirties, upper class, art world, liberal humanitarian bohemians. They sit on the floor smoking amongst books, antiques and modern art. The party sets off on a high note, when suddenly during dinner, two new guests arrive. Linda, a blonde game show hostess, is unexpectedly brought to the party by Katinka's brother. Linda is greeted warmly at first, her brusque and liberated manners are entertaining and fresh. But during the course of the evening Linda stretches the groups invisible social rules of hospitality. Contempt starts to grow, thus unfolding the groups hidden prejudices. A movie about a martial arts champion who avenges for the death of his wife against the mafia. This story is about a 9 year old American Jewish boy, David, and Kamal, also a 9 year old and a poor street urchin of Arab descent selling postcards to tourist in the stone enclosed Old City of Jerusalem.
