However he learns that the parents died when their house was bombed, only their daughter Wilhelmina, now 18, is still alive. He finds the pretty girl working as nightclub hostess and shortly after starts dating her. She doesn't tell him that an underground Nazi organization compels her to work for them, and soon gets Jeff involved in their machinations, too. Hwang Nam gets drunk and intends to spend the night with the prostitute, Min-ja. However she ends up telling him the story of her life as a 'comfort woman'--the term used for women forced to become sex slaves by foreign soldiers. Nam becomes so touched by her story that he gives her all his money. He then leaves her so he can think of a way to improve the lives of people like Min-ja. Totò(🦇), one of Italy's all-time great comedians, stars as a Neopolitan petty criminal named Don Felice, who pretends to be a Turkish eunuch. Felice is a fraudster and a womaniser who escaped from a Naples prison with his cell-mate, a pick-pocket named Faina (Aldo Giuffrè). The duo, now on the run, rob a foreigner who turns out to be a Turkish eunuch sent by the government to the house of Don Pasquale (Carlo Campanini), a wealthy and jealous Sorrento merchant, to guard his attractive wife Giulietta (Isa Barzizza) and his daughter Listetta (Primarosa Battistella) in exchange for the votes of his local constituents. Throw in elements no. 5,Lizabeth Scott as a rich, spoiled, twice-divorced woman with a lip stiffer than his, and number 6, Dianne Foster as a nurse bent on helping all mankind, and there are no surprises left, especially if one take note of the name of Irving Wallace among the writers, the title and Scott billed above Foster. The only surprise here is that this film wasn't from Universal-International and directed by Douglas Sirk. Isidoro, a poor guy, suddenly becomes a millionaire, and gets into the most bizarre situations. Manuel Mur Oti (Vigo, 1908 – Madrid, 2003), director and scriptwriter.
