The excellent cast also includes Serge Gainsbourg playing a chainsmoking unshaven hoodlum, Curd Jürgens and Paul Nicholas. Visually stunning, the cinematography and editing are outstanding, and the soundtrack, written by Serge Gainsbourg is fantastic. Most memorable scene, arguably, features Serge Gainsbourg in a huge Chicken coupe shooting it out with other baddies. A man tries to arrange his daughters' marriage, but all attempts at matchmaking fail. The film was made by Britain's Hammer Films. Like several of Hammer's previous films, such as One Million Years B.C. (1966), the film portrays dinosaurs and humans alongside each other. After the untimely death of her mother, the one daughter stands to inherit a large sum of money and also a number of documents containing information that will incriminate her father, who was a crooked judge. While her father wants the documents, her sister wants the money and they will each stop at nothing, even murder, to get what they want.
