16 years after global warming evaporates civilization as the result of war between humans and a fleet of immigrating aliens known as "The Dark Ones," a mysterious traveler makes contact to a community of human survivors bunkered down in the tunnels of Hoover Dam, Nevada.
Told from the view of musician Nico, "Nesseltal' tells the story of a friend's 30th birthday weekend in a secluded mountain lodge in the alps. After the group falls out over an alcohol-fuelled argument, the story takes a turn for the worse. Not only has Nico disappeared but the group also find themselves confronted by a much more terrible secret that their unfortunate weekend destination holds.
When a couple of swindlers arrive in an off-the-map village to reap the fruits of their ill-gotten scam, little do they realise that they have unlocked the arcane spell that enshrouds a place that is anything but a safe harbour.
This story focused on two characters: Hari, a 25-year-old Casanova, and Giri, a man in his late 40s, deserted by his wife and left to handle two little children.
