This spy adventure drama is an early film in the career of French director Claude Chabrol. Legendary screen icon Jean Seberg (BREATHLESS) stars as the widow of a murdered undercover NATO security man who is killed in Greece over sneaky dealings at a US radar installation. She is implicated as a suspect and, as a result, must go to great lengths to clear her name. Through her many trials, all set against the exotic Greek backdrops, Seberg must deal with fake priests, a pornographically obsessed millionaire, various secret agents, and Chabrol himself in a slight role as an informer.

Tony Rome is an ex-cop turned private eye in Miami Beach. For $200 he returns to her father's house a young woman who's passed out in a seedy hotel and keeps the hotel's name out of it. When the pin does turn up, it's fake, so the girl's father, a wealthy builder, hires Tony to find out what happened to the real stones. Bodies begin to pile up, Tony suspects the builder's trophy wife, and he's also looking for a mysterious guy named Nimmo who used to date Ann Archer, a stunning redhead Tony meets at the builder's. Can Tony sort it out before too many die, and what about Ann?
Sleepwalker Sita Raichand (Waheeda Rehman) is rescued by Ram (Manoj Kumar) while walking on a railway track. Shortly thereafter Guruji (David) and Mr. Raichand (Balraj Sahni), approach Ram's mom (Lalita Pawar) with a marriage proposal. Finding the proposal suitable both Ram and his mom agree, and as a result Ram and Sita are married. After the marriage, Sita displays very strange behaviour, like walking away during the night for long durations. This increases the suspicions of everyone in Ram's household. Ram subsequently finds out that there is a lot more to Sita's disappearance than sleepwalking, as Sita seems attracted to someone else from a previous birth.
