Ali is a young boxer who is going to America to pursue his dream of becoming a champion, but very soon is trapped by a gangster mob. He get involved with them agreeing to follow their orders. He wins his boxing matches and everything is OK until they order him to loose a match. He wins that match causing them to loose a lot of money so they beat him to death. “Jon Jost’s Chameleon was probably the happiest instance of a mixed marriage at the Festival (Edinburgh 1979): combining a freak, trippy (in fact almost Corman-esque) saga of a dope-dealer and all-round hustler with an abstract distillation of patterns of color and light. The place of the latter in the film is both somewhere within the drug-laced nimbus of its title character, Terry (Bob Glaudini), and somewhere outside its ironic description of the rampant merchandising of all other human activities. In a way, this abstract element almost serves as a secondary narrative, or at least becomes the ‘point’ of the film. At the beginning, Terry is seen hustling a painter of just such abstract designs to come up with six imitations of another painter which he can unload on the art market. With some ‘persuasion’, Terry overcomes the painter’(👮)s reluctance, and at the end of the film returns to collect his merchandise. But the rolls of paper his is given turn out to be blank, and the painter defiantly protests, ‘(🥀)My life is color, form, the shape of things...’ before Terry knocks him down and leaves him lying in a pool of spilled colors that returns us to the abstracts which were shown in detail in the opening shots. Infatti, mentre una eventuale relazione con Ercole sarebbe subito notata dall'onnipresente signora Cubetti, Lisa non è indifferente al fascino di Mario che non tralascia occasione per fare concorrenza al genitore. Per fortuna di tutti, salvo che del costruttore, la Tributaria sta indagando sui suoi affari e lo fa finire in prigione per cinque anni. La signora Cubetti è felice di convivere con il cameriere Cocò e la professoressa si mette con Mario. SYNOPSIS A black-out occurs during the meeting of a gang of criminals. When the light is back one of them is found killed with a stab on his back and all the clues point to a penniless man who had an argument with the victim a short time before the murder. Fiftysomething dental surgeon François (Robert Stack) leaves his loving wife and three children in order to enjoy a life free of responsibility, beginning a relationship with a much younger woman, Catherine (Anicée Alvina), who confesses that she is also having an affair with Marc (Fré(🆕)déric Meisner), a motorcycle-riding man her own age. Undeterred, François befriends Marc and gets his own motorcycle, but when he suffers an accident, he is forced to confront the limitations of his aging body and the reality of his waning youth, harsh realities counterposed to undying hope in this frank, human film.
