Trilogy of Terror (original title: Trilogia de Terror) is a 1968 Brazilian horror film by Brazilian film director/actor José Mojica Marins. Marins is also known by his alter ego Zé do Caixao (in English, Coffin Joe). The film consists of 3 stories adapted from the Brazilian TV series Alé(🆖)m, Muito Além do Além (Beyond, Much Beyond the Beyond): O Acordo (The Agreement), A Procissao dos Mortos (Procession of Dead), and Pesadelo Macabro (Macabre Nightmare).

Lewis returns to Oxford after several years absence and is reluctantly assigned by his new boss, DCS Innocent, to the murder of an Oxford mathematics student who was shot while participating in a sleep study. The key-code used to access the sleep lab was assigned to a fellow maths student, Daniel Griffin, but Daniel's math tutor has provided him with an alibi. Daniel is a maladjusted young man who will soon inherit his father's automotive empire. He is disruptive and has no respect for his uncle who now heads the company. The future of the company however rests on an impending deal with Japanese investors who insist that family unity is all important at this time. When two other murder occurs, Lewis must decipher a cryptic clue left in an old case file by his former boss, Chief Inspector Morse.
Prof. Andrew Gentling, in Los Angeles to help found a new college, is inveigled by old flame Catherine Sykes into a midnight drive. Next day Catherine is missing, believed killed; friend Martha convinces Andrew that he's a prime suspect and should investigate before he's arrested. But this only puts Andrew in a more deadly kind of danger.
