This film dealt with a lot of inner conflicts that African-Americans where unwilling to deal with at the time. Class struggles, light skinned vs. dark skinned and greeks vs. non-greeks. I just purchased it on DVD, but I remember seeing this film when it first came out in February of 1988 and it is just as powerful and entertaining now as it was then. It's amazing to look at this film now and see all of the actors who went on to successful careers afterwards, like Laurence(then Larry) Fishburne, Tisha Campbell, Giancarlo Esposito, Roger Guenveur Smith, Kadeem Hardison, Jasmine Guy, Darryl Bell, Rusty Cundieff(director of "Tales From The Hood"), Bill Nunn, Branford Marsalis, and of course I can't forget Samuel L. Jackson. Three years after this film came out a cousin from Seattle came to visit, I showed him this film and he was surprised to discover that there were actually historically black colleges and universities(HBCU's) in this country. He later attended Southern University here in Baton Rouge. The band rose to fame in the 1980s with their Number One single on the UK Singles Chart, "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)". They were the first group to have a Number One single under the production team Stock Aitken Waterman. The band, which has variously included Pete Burns (vocalist), Wayne Hussey (guitarist and songwriter), Mike Percy (bass guitarist), Steve Coy (drummer), Timothy Lever (various instruments), and Jason Alburey (keyboardist), has released eleven albums and have become popular in Japan, especially after the release of Rip it Up in 1987. Two overzealous psychopathic US tax collectors blackmail bounty hunter Vince Holloway into stopping an illegal transfer of 20 Mio. dollars from a Mexican tax paradise into the USA. So he arrives in Diablo, where life isn't worth a penny. It seems impossible to raid the heavily guarded bank. He has to assure himself of help of the barwoman Dakota and a little boy 民(😛)国年(📐)间，江(🎩)(jiāng )南(🥩)(nán )小(🏿)镇金(🔬)家客(🐉)栈(zhà(🍐)n )连发(🏺)两起命案，捕(bǔ )探薜沧舟（王(wáng )强(qiáng ) 饰）疑是江洋(🌙)(yáng )女(🐾)盗(dà(👏)o )孟玉(🔲)堂（(🌑)周晓(👛)(xiǎo )芬(🥈)(fēn ) 饰(⛎)）所(🍞)为。孟(💃)(mèng )玉(🐊)堂矢(🍾)口否认薜的(de )指控，并建议(yì )薜(bì )与她联手办案，所(suǒ )得钱财平分。此(cǐ )时，孟玉堂的(de )眼线又在店内被杀(shā )，一时间客栈乱(luàn )了营，纷纷退(✏)房。保(🗯)安团(🤹)以不(✍)能(né(🍓)ng )放(fà(🥛)ng )走嫌(🎌)犯为(🗾)由将(🛡)(jiāng )众(🏍)旅(lǚ(👷) )客扣(⛏)押。查(🐎)房(fáng )中(zhōng )，冯队长（崔(cuī )京生 饰）又发现自(zì )己的眼线(👥)章有(🥛)(yǒu )根(🚴)(gēn )（(🌏)王峻(➰) 饰）(🐹)倒毙(😵)在(zà(🐗)i )段四(🐠)（何(✌)麟 饰(🙄)(shì )）房间，薜沧舟(zhōu )则认为是客栈金老(lǎo )板栽赃，当下(xià )无(wú )话。是夜，孟玉堂(táng )抖动如簧之舌(shé )，胁迫段四与其(qí )合作，以取薜沧舟(zhōu )性(xì(🎶)ng )命。趁(⬇)金老(🔭)板(bǎ(🌔)n )不在(🙆)屋，张(😕)龙飞(🏢)在(zà(✈)i )金老(⛽)板填(🍾)房锦(🗝)(jǐn )凤(📜)(fèng )（(🍍)刘玮 饰）自(zì )己的(de )卧底屋外约见(jiàn )段(duàn )四，欲仗义疏(shū(🦖) )财替(🏬)父赎(💂)罪...... 혼(🍷)례를(🆖) 앞두(🔳)고 3대(✉)독자(💥)인 아(🌾)들 현(👐)도가(🍧) 병에 걸리자 가문의 체통을 지키기 위해 엄씨는 하인 치삼을 내세워 홍규수와 결혼하도록 한다. 병석에 누워있던 현도가 행방불명이 되자 엄(📎)씨는(🏎) 하인(👈) 구복(🔶)을 시(🈁)켜 치(🕋)삼을(🧒) 살해(📸)하고(🛥) 현도(🕙)의 아(🌡)기를(🥞) 가진(✝) 요화도 죽인다. 현도의 아버지 윤생원이 버려진 요화의 아(😼)기를(📢) 데리(⬛)고 와(🕖)서 기(🙇)르게(🏕) 되면(🌞)서부(👴)터 집(🥇)안에(🐾) 살인(✖)사건이 이어진다. 구복과 홍규수의 정부가 죽고, 엄씨와 윤생원도 뒤를 따라 죽는다. 결국 현도에 의해 범인으로 밝혀진 치삼은 끝내 자결하고(🔹) 현도(🔟)는 아(🎡)기를(☔) 안고(🆙) 정처(🙊)없는(🔊) 길을(✒) 떠난(📡)다.
