A bachelor philosophy professor, while traveling on the train, is forced to take a bag full of robbed money by the robber, who is also pursued by a rival criminal gang. After the robber is being assassinated, the professor is thought to be a mob by all concerned. Kusum Rai lives a wealthy lifestyle in scenic Kashmir with her widowed dad, Basant. Her dad had helped his friend's widow, her son, Sushil Verma, and daughter, Munni, overcome many financial challenges, and had also paid for his medical education so that he can grow up to not only support his family, but also marry Kusum. Things escalate to such an extent that Kusum returns to live with her dad. Several months later, she is informed that Sushil is seriously ill, she returns - only to find that Sushil is in love with a nurse named Karuna. Watch what an angered Kusum does to keep Sushil all to himself. Matt Wade escapes from prison and tries to persuade his brother Bill, a reformed gunslinger, to participate in a hold-up. Billy refuses but Matt frames him and he is forced to ride off with the gang. Billy fights with his brother and accidentally kills him, while Matt's teen-aged son, Ted, who thinks his father had been paroled from prison, sees the shooting. Returning to town to explain the true situation, Billy is almost lynched by the townsmen mob who think he was part of the robbery.
