A Greek Fisherman brings an Atlantean Princess back to her homeland which is the mythical city of Atlantis. He is enslaved for his trouble. The King is being manipulated by an evil sorcerer who is bent on using a natural resource of Atlantis to take over the world. The Atlanteans, or rather the slaves of Atlantis, are forced to mine a crystalline material which absorbs the suns rays. These crystals can then be used for warmth. The misuse of science has created weapons out of the crystals that can fire a heat ray to destroy whatever it touches. Written by {harold.lind@airtouch.com} FEARLESS (as the US video of this is known) is an exciting Italian police film, largely shot in Austria (which looks beautiful!), with Merli as a low-rent private investigator and former cop who is sent to Austria on a job, and while there sees a number of seemingly unrelated coincidences that lead him into a strange web of corruption and decadence. But at the forty-minute point, the film enters a new sphere with the arrival of JOAN COLLINS, looking incredibly sexy, doing a striptease in a club, and giving the film a wonderful shot in the arm. This film was made right before her "comeback" with the films THE STUD and THE BITCH, based on literary works by her sister Jackie. I've always admired Ms. Collins and the way she took charge of her career and showed the world how sexy an over-35 lady can be. The crime elements of the film work well, Merli is exciting and witty (as he usually was), and Joan Collins is a seductive femme-fat ale in a role that her fans simply must see. I've watched this film a number of times over the years, and I can't recommend it highly enough...an exciting 70's Italian crime film with the added attraction of Joan Collins at the height of her powers is a dream come true for this viewer! Desperate to save his ailing grandmother before she slips beyond the point of no return, a young boy from the country ventures forth into the big city on a mission to sell his only asset, and procure the medicine that will make her well again. One night, after awakening to the sounds of his beloved grandmother Didinha praying for death, Joaozinho realizes that the ageing woman can endure her suffering no longer. Now determined to do everything in his power to restore her health, young Joaozinho decides to sell his goat "Mocinha" so that he will be able to afford his grandmother's medicine. In order to do so, however, this brave young soul will have to venture out from the safety of his surroundings and into the hustle and bustle of the capitol city. Though his mission is a noble one, will this young boy be able to procure the medicine and bring it back to his grandmother in time? Rita Wilson meets epidemiologist Chris Claybourne and they fall in love with each other. When Claybourne leaves for the tropics to find a cure against a disease, Wilson gets her revenge by marrying Claybourne's brother although she still loves him. Film follows a young couple who are parasites on the lives of others. The film makers largely leave out explanations. Viewers find themselves in the middle of a thriller-like story without knowing the background of the two, and is also left with questions at the end. In the meantime, a strange life becomes visible. The couple lives in a small camp in the woods, with a tent, sleeping bags and empty wine bottles. Isolated, but also unprotected. The girl visits a lonely old lady, for money. The boy also goes to see a married couple whose son died, for a fee.
