"The film takes place during the German occupation of Denmark in a provincial town in the summer of 1943. Kirsten falls in love with a German soldier from the occupying authorities. She slowly becomes entangled by her own feelings and. when it dawns on her that he German is the "enemy" and her love "wrong" it is too late. The Polizi genre is best known for it's fun action flicks with a focus on car chases and shootouts; but with this film, the director has taken the theme and added an extremely grim atmosphere to it, and this bodes well with the plot line which takes in a robbery gone wrong, a resulting war between the criminals and a police investigation. The film opens with a bank robbery in which the crooks make off with a load of money which was intended for some workers' pay packets. This interests Police Commissioner Foschi as the wages are normally paid in cheque. Things haven't gone well for the criminals either, as two of them have decided to rip the other one off, leading him to track down his former partners with the cops on all of their tails. Judas, a wealthy playboy living in Hong Kong, is obsessed with snakes. His apartment is full of them, and he treats them as if they were his children. One night Judas' brother persuades him to accompany him to see a dance act at a nightclub. Judas is astounded to see that the act consists of a beautiful Asian woman who dances nude while holding a python. He is immediately smitten, and winds up hiring her to take care of his snakes while he's away on business. However, things start to take a sinister turn. Chris McCormick (Margaux Hemingway), a high fashion and cosmetics model is brutally raped by her younger sister’s music teacher, Gordon Stuart (Sarandon). After pleading not guilty to the crime and being found innocent by a jury, Stuart finds a new victim in Chris’(🧗)s younger sister and his own student, Kathy (Mariel Hemingway). Now even more enraged by the recent turn of events, Chris takes matters into her own hands as she seeks revenge for the crimes committed against both herself and her sister.
