Syria is dominated by the Romans. During a summit of Tibullo, Jezel and Tisba, two very skilled thieves who "work" in the crowd, are pursued by some guards but are able to escape. Jezel takes refuge in Ammon's potter's house and invades his daughter, Miriam. As old Mannaen kidnaps the girl, Jezel and Tisba save her and go together in a cave, shelter of Syrian rebels. Near is the legion of the Vitellio console and the two thieves steal the imperial insignia. Mannaen, to attract the romance's sympathy, reveals their refuge and, after a furious battle, also Jezel is imprisoned. Condemned to death because he does not want to reveal where the insignia is hidden, he is about to be baptized when Tibullo recognizes his son in him, kidnapped him by the pirates. Lilith is a about a mysterious young woman in an elite sanitarium in New England, who seems to weave a magical spell all around her. A restless, but sincere young man with an equally obscure past is seemingly drawn into her web. As time passes, their relationship deepens and intensifies, and the differences between them begin to blur, leading to a shocking, but oddly logical conclusion. Thakur Jarnail Singh is known and feared in the region and has killed anyone who has dared to oppose him. He shoots down Champa's husband ruthlessly in front of her eyes, ignoring her pleas for mercy when the former refuses to provide ammunition and guns. He then shows up in full force during a wedding ceremony at the Zamindar's mansion and abducts a courtesan, Chamelijaan. Subsequently, he rescues her from his henchman, Thakur Kripal Singh, and with her consent, marries her in the presence of Pandit Ram Avtar and Maulana Sheikh Rahim. Shortly thereafter she becomes pregnant and gives birth to a boy who they name Sheru. With the child growing up, the Superintendent of Police hot on his tail, the trio go on the run and separate. A traumatized Chamelijaan must decide about their future when she not only goes to live in the same village as Champa - but watches her son learn to ride horses and take up firearms. This is a wonderful film! Shot on location in Singapore, it is the story of a Malaysian rebel, Sandokan, who, with his group of fanatic renegades, tries to thwart an evil British general from forcing the good king Hassim to resign in favor of the Imperial crown. I enjoyed this film quite a bit. The cinematography is lush, and the sets lavish. In one of my favorite scenes, a gang of rebels is attacked by bloodthirsty natives! Another scene finds a captive about to be fed to a hungry alligator. If you enjoy high-end historical adventure romances, this should whet your palate. Franco and Ciccio are two simple-minded Italian guys whom are mistaken by KGB spies by government agents from their government and other foreign governments. Having pulled off the smallest ever train robbery, Little Walter and his crew decide to get out of London. As a result, Mrs. Kroll dies from a heart attack.
