Für die Polizistin erscheint es höchst unwahrscheinlich, dass der Alte, der zeitlebens nie etwas auf die Reihe bekam, sich eine fünfstellige Summe vom Mund abgespart hat. Nachforschungen, die sie mit ihrem Kollegen Moritz Eisner in der steirermärkischen Provinz anstellt, übertreffen allerdings ihre kühnsten Erwartungen.
