With the help of an orphaned boy named Jak, Ananda travels the canals of the city to unravel the clues and catch the killer. The story of Jenn and Bart Corbin(Lowe); a couple who appear to have the perfect marriage. Wedded bliss, though, is not always what it seems, as Jenn discovers Bart’s affair with a beautiful co-worker. Distraught, Jenn turns to the Internet, where she makes a connection with a charming mystery man. When Jenn is found dead – apparently the result of a devastating suicide – her loving sister insists that Jenn would never have willingly taken her own life and left her children without their mother. Could the killer be her husband, who has some dark secrets of his own, or possibly her online suitor, who may not be exactly the person Jenn had imagined? Ji-yeong has a biking accident and is aided by a boy who is practicing to become an Olympic marathon runner. The young man falls ill during a practice and is forced to give up his dream due to a previously undiagnosed heart disease. Ji-yeong wants to help him, but her parents don't allow it, so she steals a camera to pawn for the money for the boy's hospital bill Out on a family excursion, accompanied by Joyce, daughter Cully and Joyce's mother who is visiting, the Chief Inspector soon finds himself investigating the murder of Mildred Danvers, whose flask of brandy was apparently spiked with barbiturates. They were all there to attend the annual Skimmington Fair, a decades-old village fê(🐈)te that essentially pitted the women against the misogynist men. There are several suspects including Henry Marwood who returned Danvers' flask to her but has lied to the police about it; the local Doctor who seems just a tad too quick to pronounce the death to be of natural causes; and the Rev. Anthony Gant who, in addition to being Mrs. Danvers' cousin, was also mounting a court action against the Skimmington women in a attempt to stop what he saw as the annual denigration of men.
