Three Post Office employees are at work when the facility is held up. The robber kills the supervisor and knocks out another employee. The third one offers no resistance and survives unscathed. Afterwards he begins to wonder if his refusal to resist was a prudent move to preserve his family, or an act of cowardice, as many in the town believe. The resulting conflict begins to tear apart his family.
The idle lives of the rich or famous or both are depicted from an aloof and uninvolved perspective in this standard though uneven drama by director Francesco Maselli. Claudia Cardinale appears in one of her early screen roles as Fedora, a member of the elite and privileged in a provincial Italian town. The seedy underside of illicit affairs, quick flings, betrayals and deceptions, and other, similar pasttimes of the "in" circle slowly become apparent when a young outsider tries to gain acceptance into the exclusive group. As the plot weaves in and out of the various liaisons in a cool and remote manner, the motivation for wanting to take part in it all is hard to fathom. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide

This is the story of a female corsair, Mary Read, who takes over a ship of pirates and wreaks havoc on the high seas. Later, she squares off against an old nemesis. This is a very colorful, adventurous film, which looks as if it were inspired by the films of Raoul Walsh (in fact, the director, Umberto Lenzi, is known to be a big Raoul Walsh fan). It's too bad that they don't make films like this anymore.

During the Baekje period, the Silla Kingdom, another country in Korean peninsular, was watching for an opportunity to unify the two regions. In the royal court of Baekje, with the destiny of its country already in decline, the royal family and its subjects passed their time singing and dancing. When the Silla army invades Baekje, loyal subjects like general Gye-Baek fight with all their might to protect the country. King Uija of Baekje tries to find a way to save the castle, but ultimately fails. Over three thousand court ladies who would rather die than be put to shame run to Nakhwa Rock and throw themselves into the waters of the Baengma River below.
