Parking is director Jacques Demy's homage to Jean Cocteau's 1948 masterwork Orpheus. As in the Cocteau film, Demy relates the Orpheus and Euridyce legend in a contemporary setting. Now a rock 'n' roll sensation (instead of the poet of the Cocteau film) Orpheus falls in love with Eurydice, who in this version is a sculptress rather than a princess. The rest of the film adheres to the familiar story. Euridyce, who is death personified, beckons Orpheus into Hell, ostensibly to revive his dead lover. A shade brighter and more buoyant than its source material, Parking is the usual Jacques Demy brew of beautiful imagery and hokey dialogue.~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide 줄거(🏬)리 Ram (Jackie shroff) is an honest young man, who comes to the village of the powerful and corrupt Thakur Vijay Singh (Amrish Puri). The only one who witnesses the killing is Ram's dog, Moti. Bijli also passes away, leaving her father (Satyen Kappo) distraught and close to insanity. Who will bring now help bring justice to Gopi; and who will avenge the killing of Ram? A teenaged boy goes for a ride with his brother and the brother's friends, who proceed to rob a store and murder the clerk. They are caught and, despite the young boy's protestations, he is convicted of murder and sent to prison. A female social worker assigned to the boy's case not only believes him, but begins to fall in love with him, and determines to either help him prove his innocence or escape.
