Five young tourists(Mike,Darren,Emily,Linda and Sarah)are on vacation in an Asian city.First they visit a traditional Night Market,where they are shocked to see a butcher slaughtering a dog for meat.After this gruesome event they decide to relax and have some fun in a local Karaoke Bar,where Emily meets a handsome Japanese man named Miles.Unfortunately for them Mike insults the Triad Boss,who entered the place with his henchmen.Big mistake!However Miles defuses the situation as he apologizes to the Boss and persuades the tourists to move on as soon as possible.Soon the action moves into a creepy porno theatre.The tourists buy tickets and enter this filthy place to forget about the evening's hostilities.Unbeknownst to them the Boss and his cohort have followed them to the Venus Theatre.The sadistically explicit bloodbath begins there...First of all I enjoyed Ryan Nicholson's nasty rape and revenge shocker "Torched",but "Live Feed" is even better.It is also one of the goriest horror films I have seen.The gore is plentiful and truly extreme with dismemberments,decapitations,grisly tortures,sword impalings and geysers of grue to boost.The acting is great and the action is fast-paced,intense and bloody as hell.Stephen Chang is especially memorable as the Triad Boss with a taste for human flesh.So if you are a fan of gore or grindhouse exploitation flicks you can't go wrong with "Live Feed".10 out of 10.Truly awesome stuff that will surely please genre fans! Daniel, a young man serving time in a Spanish prison for abetting a crime. A bad cop, Guillermo, visits the prisoner because he knows of Daniel's role in the murder. At the same time, Guillermo, who is gay, seems to develop an attraction to Daniel, but will never tell him how he feels about him. Guillermo urges Daniel to eliminate a night club owner, Salgado, who is also in jail. He comes up with a plan to breathe new life into his fame and status: under the motto 'speak no evil over the dead', he fakes his own death and adopts the identity of a dead tramp (whom he finds on a deserted Alp, typical for Moullet). The media does indeed take the bait — but only after Moullet has had to put his plan briefly on ice because his colleague Jean-Luc Godard dies... One day a woman named Maude (Catherine Jacob) walks into a swimming pool and sees a young girl splashing about with her friends--in that one instant everything changes. Twelve years ago, someone stole Maude's baby girl, and ever since she has devoted her life to finding her missing daughter. Twelve-year-old Zita, who has a birthmark eerily the same as Maude's lost child, lives with her breezy gypsy mother Joana (Arly Jover) in casual squalor. The girl's vague history, combined with a doctored birth certificate, no baby pictures and an absent father confirm Maude's suspicions that she has finally found her missing child, and she goes after the girl with all the tact of a hostile takeover. Cold and abrasive Maude is not a woman who invites easy sympathy, she drinks too much, smokes constantly, and wears a slash of lipstick as harsh as fresh blood. In marked contrast is Joana, whose easy manner makes her seem the more naturally maternal of the pair. But as Maude begins to infiltrate Zita's life (with expensive presents and promises of wealth and privilege) the struggle between the two mothers intensifies into a pitched battle between nature and nurture. Writer-director Virginie Wagon invests this intense drama with sympathy, compassion and keen intelligence.
