Hathyar is a narrative which probes into the household of Raghunath (Sanjay Dutt), a dreaded gangster. His bereaved son Rohit (Sanjay Dutt) has to face a lot of flak from the outside world, repeatedly reminding him of the stigma attached to his family because of his father's past. Just like his father, circumstances force Rohit to become a gangster and he gets the name Boxer Bhai. Rohit has weaknesses, he cannot stand any woman being called a prostitute, because his mom, Sonu was one, and he has fallen hard for a married woman, Gauri (Shilpa Shetty), who is enduring a marriage with a phsycially abusive spouse. Rohit snatches her out of this abusive relationshisp and re-marries her. But Rohit's problems are far from over. There is a change in the political scenario and Rohit does not find support from any godfather. He is ordered to be arrested - dead or alive.
Fuad Ramses and his family have moved from the United States to France, where they run an American diner. Since business is not going too well, Fuad also works night shifts in a museum of ancient Egyptian culture. During these long, lonely nights he is repeatedly drawn to a statue representing the seductive ancient goddess ISHTAR. He becomes more and more allured by the goddess as she speaks to him in visions. Eventually he succumbs to her deadly charms. After this pivotal night, Fuad begins a new life, in which murder and cannibalism become his daily bread. He starts to prepare a ritual FEAST to honor his new mistress, a lavish affair dripping with BLOOD, organs, and intestines of human victims. As butchered bodies are heaped upon the Altar of Ishtar, Fuad slowly slips further into madness, until he is no more than the goddess's puppet; and she thirsts for the blood of Fuad's wife and daughter too...

Gloriously self-aggrandizing moviemaker Tom Palazzolo made an awesome feature debut with Caligari’s Cure. If you know your Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, you’(🌕)ll remember that the orgasm of the 1919 German movie revealed that the ostensive villain had been really a psychiatrist, and the moderate hero a certified looney. Palazzolo uses generous chunks of Caligari, evaluating the expressionistic opposites of the previous film’s director Robert Wiene with contemporary artistic developments. It’s a fairly obvious stylistic workout, but it’s simply because entertaining as Palazzolo’s hallucinatory quick topics. Caligari’(😶)s Cure would make a felicitous double feature with the 1988 shorts set Palazzolo’s Chicago.
