THE FORMING is a film that looks at how fear forms within us. We focus on a man who is attacked by a dog as he runs in the park. After that, he finds himself dealing with some very strange occurrences in his home. Everything that follows seems to relate back to the fear he experienced during the dog attack. As he is forced to confront these odd goings on we see him descend deeper and deeper into his own maddening psychosis. Or, is he? In the end he and everyone else around him will see what happens when one lets fear take over their lives. When perpetual never-do-well, August, hits rock bottom, he breaks into his rich neighbor's apartment to steal some money. When she turns up badly injured, he panics and hits the road, but he soon realizes he's being followed by an ominous stranger. A psychological drama taking place during a day and a night in the life of a young family living in a beautiful house by the sea in the village of Sandur in the Faroe Islands. At a first glance it seems like an ordinary, happy family - mum and dad and their 11-year-old daughter - but soon we realize that something dark and sinister lies lurking behind the facade waiting to explode. A ranch foreman, rebuffed by his boss' daughter, turns the ranch into a tourist mecca. The girl leaves the ranch, but eventually she returns with her new fiancé(🎻), who she says is a rich European, and they plan to get married at the ranch. Her engagement doesn't discourage the foreman, however, and finally her fiancé orders his servants to kidnap him and keep him under wraps until the wedding. Sometime later, he met a somewhat eccentric woman named Saki Honda and fell in love with her. But she made a suicide attempt. Rihito read her dairy, and learned that she lost her fiancée in the plane crash he escaped and she has been repeating the incident she had with her fiancée. Eventually, Rihito and Saki dropped their pretense and began to take a serious look at their own selves.
