A very low-keyed film, with doses of comedy, about a young man Alex, who returns to Montreal after a five year absence. The film follows his relationship with Alya, the girlfriend of his best friend Arto, as well as with his neighbour Anne and her two children.

1988, Dans la cité Paul Eluard en banlieue parisienne, Yacine et Johnny parlent de leurs futures vacances avec leurs amis. Le premier est d’origine maghrébine et ne supporte plus les traditionnelles vacances en famille au "bled".
