ニューヨーク市警(📳)において、空手師範の(🥈)座をめぐる争いに巻(🍬)(quàn )き込まれた沖縄(shéng )空(💮)手(shǒu )家・檜垣一(yī )真(🎦)は、悪徳空手(shǒu )家・(🏩)二(🆎)階堂弘宣(xuān )の襲(xí )撃(🏊)に遭った。一(yī )真は応(♏)戦(🌀)するものの、娘・由(🚙)美(měi )の目の前で片腕(🛀)(wà(🦕)n )を失ってしまう。それ(😒)から10年後(hòu )、由(yóu )美(✊)は(🛂)空手家(jiā )生命を絶た(🍗)れてしまった父親の(🚁)後を継いで、檜垣流(liú(🚂) )空手の達人(rén )に成(ché(💜)ng )長していた。由(yóu )美は父(✋)親の復讐(chóu )を果たす(🚂)ため、今では空手界(🏆)の(🌃)大物(wù )となった二(è(🕞)r )階堂のいる東京(jīng )に(🎉)向(📍)(xiàng )かったのだが…。 A docile black law student is possessed by a 1940's mobster in mid-70's New Orleans. The mobster seeks revenge upon the people who killed him and his sister. Director Mario Caiano is not one of the better known Italian directors; but he's certainly one of the most underrated and has proved himself more than capable of delivering the goods on a number of occasions with films such as Calling All Police Cars, Night of the Doomed, and this film. The Polizi genre is best known for it's fun action flicks with a focus on car chases and shootouts; but with this film, the director has taken the theme and added an extremely grim atmosphere to it, and this bodes well with the plot line which takes in a robbery gone wrong, a resulting war between the criminals and a police investigation. The film opens with a bank robbery in which the crooks make off with a load of money which was intended for some workers' pay packets. This interests Police Commissioner Foschi as the wages are normally paid in cheque. Things haven't gone well for the criminals either, as two of them have decided to rip the other one off, leading him to track down his former partners with the cops on all of their tails. The restorer Stefano is hired by the Mayor Solmi of a small village nearby Ferrara to restore a painting of St. Sebastian, made by the mentally disturbed painter Buono Legnani in the local church. Stefano was recommended by his friend, Dr. Antonio Mazza, and he learns that Legnani was known as "The Painter of the Agony", since he used to paint near-death people. Further, he was presumed dead many years ago but his body has never been found. Stefano works in the church, where he meets the weirdo Lidio, and he has one night stand with the local nymphomaniac teacher that is leaving the village. Meanwhile Antonio investigates the life of Buono Legnani and tells Stefano that he had found a dark secret about the painter and the villagers. However, Antonio dies before meeting Stefano and the police conclude that he committed suicide. Stefano is intrigued by the mystery surrounds Legnani and decides to investigate more about the deranged painter. However, he in evicted of his hotel room and ... Ryu, a low life thug, along with his mother, steals a shipment of drugs.
