Director Rituparno Ghosh expresses his compassion towards Aniket by portraying his smile as he watches alone a scene he filmed of Sreemaati. It creates the feeling of memories gone by. That’s why the conversation between Aniket and Aspratim in the first scene is so meaningful. Aniket says that a video can always be filmed again, thus expressing his wish to start his life over from the beginning.
