Philippe Clarence, a famous Parisian dressmaker, seduces his friend's fiancee. But, for the 1st time in his life, this is for real. The film is also a sharp picture of the fashion world. In this gritty film noir, cynical ex-RAF flyer Morgan, bored with civilian life, joins a break-in gang led by Narcy. On his first job, the getaway car crashes after killing a policeman. Morgan is framed as the driver and sent to jail. Seeking revenge, he escapes and heads for London. Along the way he's helped by a woman (Mrs. Fenshaw), who wants him to murder her husband. In London, Morgan is sheltered by Sally, who falls in love with him. He confronts Narcy and the gang in an abandoned warehouse. It’s the shadowy culture of working class folks tangled in the post-war culture of seductive night life, of dive bars and the itinerate musicians and singers and underworld types who frequent them, and in the tough attitude that Walsh and Lupino bring to the film. They made a great pair and she is the perfect Walsh heroine: tough, smart, experienced, and still something of a romantic at heart. This is one of the great “women’s pictures” of the era, never showy but always simmering with complicated relationships, frustrated desires and unfulfilled affections that are more authentic and conflicted than most Hollywood pictures

A搞(🥠)不(🎖)懂(🤠)隔(🗂)着屏幕这个物理介质,还加了一层摄影机作为眼睛——如果再算上电影里那片银幕的话就更多了—(🙌)—观众怎么就会认为(🐛)在(🌗)电(🐭)影(💈)的(🚴)电(🌝)影(🐀)人(㊗)物(🏽)跳(🍨)出(🗣)来和电影的人物在电影中的现实世界遭遇,就是在讨论电影的虚实了?也许对于电影创作者来说,电(🦅)影(🐝)人物跳出来的这个行(🚑)为(✔)像(📆)是(🐊)在(🗽)还(🍧)原(🐙)片(🌃)场(💤)的(🔗)后(⏺)台。但是还原了拍摄现场的后台又如何呢?倒不如设置电影的人物跳进电影中的电影世界中来得(🛒)妙(😘)。这个点子的前提只能(🐋)是(🍬)主(🏞)角(➡)现(💄)实(❕)生(🦃)活(📁)过(🖍)于(🎑)悲(🍨)惨,以至她已然分不清银幕内外何为真实了。观众充其量作为观看者,看着电影的人物,而不太有共情的(✉)空间。如果本质上就认为(🚝)在(🐚)银(🤡)幕(🌾)上(⏺)呈(🥡)现(😭)的(🆙)电(💖)影(📱)是虚假的话(沉浸/回味电影等跟观看电影的状态不可混为一谈),对着这个点子实在很浪漫不起来(🐶),甚(🎿)至觉得这很傻很刻意(🐚),一(🤨)点(🧕)都(👬)不(😌)享(⚾)受(💜)。
